Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill (2004) An amazing true story about a street bum who refused to take on a full time job because he wanted to do something that made him happy--something that God put him on earth to do. After much soul searching, the wild parrots of San Franciso became his passion. Mark Bitter studied the parrots and their behaviors, and shared with us, in a very touching way, how these parrots are true creatures of beauty, with diverse personalities, including some that are very noble and loving, and others that are mischievous and stubborn. As it turns out, the story is even more amazing because parrots are not native to San Francisco. To find out how parrots settled in San Francisco, you'll have to rent or buy this movie. A must see movie. |

March of the Penguins (2005) When watching this movie, the beauty and human-ness of the Penguins shines bright and clear--the way in which the male and female form a bond before they conceive a child, the troubles they go through together while striving to keep their unborn safe, and the jealousy and sadness of those partners that fail in protecting their egg. These are amazingly human qualities, and incredible to see in this spectacular documentary with beautiful cinematogrophy. A must see movie. |
